HomeScore Terms of Service
Effective date: May 22, 2026
Last updated: May 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of:
- The HomeScore mobile application for iOS and Android (bundle identifier
com.homescore.app, the “App”); and - The marketing and legal website at https://www.homescore.app (the “Website”),
provided by HomeScore (“HomeScore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App or Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Important: These Terms are a detailed engineering-aligned draft. They are not legal advice. Have qualified counsel review them before production use, especially alongside App Store, Google Play, GDPR, and consumer laws in your markets.
Note: The HomeScore mobile app is not yet publicly available on the App Store or Google Play. It is launching soon. Store links on this website will be enabled when release is confirmed.

2. Eligibility and acceptance
2.1. You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where EU/UK member state law requires a higher age for consent to online services) and able to form a binding contract.
2.2. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2.3. We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted at https://www.homescore.app/terms with an updated date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. For material changes affecting paid subscriptions, we will provide additional notice where required.
3. Description of the Services
3.1. HomeScore is a Europe-wide, map-oriented platform for housing experience reviews: users read and share structured feedback about homes, buildings, streets, neighborhoods, and residential areas.
3.2. The Services are designed to describe housing conditions — such as noise, heating, dampness/mold resistance, internet quality, safety perception, and maintenance responsiveness in neutral language.
3.3. HomeScore is not:
- A landlord or tenant rating site targeting private individuals;
- A legal advice, eviction, or investigation service;
- A guarantee of accuracy, safety, or habitability of any property;
- A replacement for professional inspections or official records.
3.4. The Website provides information, store download links, and legal documents. It does not replicate full App functionality.
4. Accounts and authentication
4.1. Registration requires sign-in with Google or Apple via our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). You must provide accurate information permitted by the provider.
4.2. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your device and provider accounts. Notify us promptly at support@homescore.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4.3. One natural person should not maintain multiple accounts to evade blocks, quotas, or moderation.
4.4. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose safety risks.
5. User Content and license
5.1. Your ownership. You retain rights in User Content you submit, subject to the license below.
5.2. License to HomeScore. By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (e.g. formatting, masking, translation of UI labels), display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Services, enforce policies, and comply with law. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except for reasonable backup retention and anonymized aggregates.
5.3. Public display. User Content is not public until it meets our publication rules (approved moderation status and not deleted). We may withhold or remove content at any time.
5.4. Masking. Public views may show masked reviewer identifiers rather than full legal names.
5.5. No confidential submissions. Do not submit information you cannot lawfully share or that violates others’ rights.
6. Content standards and prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
6.1. Post private personal data about identifiable individuals, including full names combined with accusations, phone numbers, email addresses, government IDs, or similar;
6.2. Dox, harass, threaten, or encourage harm against any person;
6.3. Publish hate speech, extremist propaganda, or discriminatory attacks;
6.4. Expose exact apartment unit numbers, door codes, or occupant identities;
6.5. Make false factual claims with intent to deceive, or impersonate others;
6.6. Submit spam, astroturfing, paid review manipulation, or automated bulk content;
6.7. Upload malware, scrape the Services at scale, reverse engineer client apps except as law permits, or bypass quotas and security;
6.8. Use the Services for illegal purposes under applicable law;
6.9. Circumvent moderation, blocks, or entitlement checks (including Pro-only features);
6.10. Misrepresent your relationship to a property (e.g. claiming residence you do not have) in a deceptive way.
We may use automated and human review (submit-review validation, profanity filters, reports, moderator tools) to enforce standards.
7. Moderation and reporting
7.1. Users may report content for categories including private personal information, harassment, hate speech, false information, spam, illegal content, or other concerns.
7.2. Moderators may approve, reject, flag, or remove content and resolve reports. Decisions are logged for audit.
7.3. We are not obligated to pre-screen all content but may do so. We do not guarantee removal speed.
7.4. Repeated reports can cause re-review of previously approved content.
7.5. No obligation to host. We may remove any User Content or account at our discretion to protect users, comply with law, or respond to authorities.
8. Map, location, and privacy-related terms
8.1. While-in-use location may be requested to recenter the map, show approximate nearby results, or place a review pin. Background tracking is not used for product features.
8.2. You will not attempt to derive continuous movement histories of other users from the Services.
8.3. Location precision and coordinate rounding are applied to reduce exact-address exposure. You must still avoid describing identifiable occupants or unit-level identifiers in text.
8.4. Map providers: iOS uses Apple Maps; Android uses Mapbox; other surfaces may use configured tile providers. Your use is subject to their terms.
8.5. See the Privacy Policy for full data practices.
9. Guest, Free, and Pro tiers
9.1. Guest users may browse with limits (e.g. review history window, map search quotas on device).
9.2. Free registered users receive server-enforced quotas on features such as review creation, reports, AI search, and map search.
9.3. Pro unlocks additional features (e.g. extended history, advanced filters, export-my-reviews, higher quotas) as described in-app and on store product pages.
9.4. Quota and tier limits may change; authoritative limits are enforced server-side (consume_quota, tier_limits).
9.5. UI locks are not security boundaries; do not attempt to bypass server enforcement.
10. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds (HomeScore Pro)
10.1. Pro is digital access to premium in-app features. Product identifiers may include bina_pro_weekly, bina_pro_monthly, and bina_pro_yearly (or successor SKUs) on Stores and RevenueCat.
10.2. Payment processor. Purchases are processed by the Store you use (Apple or Google). Your primary payment relationship is with that Store.
10.3. Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date through Store subscription settings.
10.4. Price. Displayed Store price, currency, taxes, introductory offers, and free trials control at checkout. In-app summaries may lag Store changes.
10.5. Manage / cancel:
- Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Google: Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
10.6. Refunds are handled under Store policies and applicable consumer law. Contact Store support for billing disputes. We do not process card payments directly.
10.7. Entitlement. We validate Pro status via RevenueCat webhooks into our backend. Tampering with client apps does not grant Pro.
10.8. Trials. If offered, trials convert to paid price unless cancelled in the Store before conversion.
10.9. Suspension. We may revoke access for fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or Terms violations.
10.10. In-app subscription disclosures supplement but do not replace Store terms and your statutory rights.
11. Intellectual property
11.1. The Services, including software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation, are owned by us or licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
11.2. Except for the limited rights to use the Services, no license is granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
11.3. Feedback you provide may be used without restriction or compensation.
11.4. Copyright complaints: Send notices to legal@homescore.app with information required by applicable law (e.g. DMCA for US, EU Copyright Directive procedures). We may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
12. Third-party services
12.1. The Services integrate third parties including Supabase, Google, Apple, Mapbox, RevenueCat, Firebase, geocoding providers, and LLM providers for AI search. Your use may be subject to their terms.
12.2. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or acts.
12.3. Links on the Website to external sites are provided for convenience; we do not endorse them.
13. AI search (Pro)
13.1. AI search provides informational responses based on approved public housing data and tools. Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect.
13.2. Do not rely on AI output for legal, financial, health, or safety decisions.
13.3. Prompts are processed on our servers; do not submit sensitive personal data or unlawful content.
13.4. Rate limits apply. We may suspend AI features for abuse.
14. Push notifications
14.1. With your consent, we may send transactional notifications (saved locations, nearby area alerts, review status).
14.2. You can disable categories in App settings and revoke OS notification permission.
14.3. We do not guarantee delivery; carriers and device settings affect receipt.
15. Account deletion
15.1. You may delete your account in the App. Deletion calls our delete-account function and removes associated data as described in the Privacy Policy.
15.2. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
15.3. Some information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time or where retention is required by law.
16. Disclaimers
16.1. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
16.2. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF USER CONTENT OR MAP DATA.
16.3. USER CONTENT IS SUBMITTED BY USERS, NOT BY US. WE DO NOT VERIFY EVERY STATEMENT.
16.4. HOUSING CONDITIONS CHANGE OVER TIME; REVIEWS MAY BE OUTDATED.
16.5. MAP AND GEOCODING DATA MAY BE INACCURATE.
17. Limitation of liability
17.1. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
(a) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR REPUTATION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
(b) OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
(i) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR PRO SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR
(ii) EUR 100 (or equivalent in local currency).
17.2. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.
17.3. If you are a consumer in the EEA/UK, you retain mandatory rights under local consumer protection law.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HomeScore and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your User Content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of third-party rights; or
- your misuse of the Services,
except to the extent caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
19. Suspension and termination
19.1. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations, risk to others, legal requirements, or extended inactivity.
19.2. You may stop using the Services anytime and delete your account.
19.3. Sections that by nature should survive (licenses granted for enforcement, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute resolution, governing law) survive termination.
20. Governing law and disputes
20.1. Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of To be confirmed (contact legal@homescore.app), without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
20.2. Venue: Courts in To be confirmed have exclusive jurisdiction for business users. Consumers in the EEA/UK may bring proceedings in their country of residence where EU/UK consumer rules allow.
20.3. EU Online Dispute Resolution: Platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ — we are not obligated to participate in alternative dispute resolution; contact support@homescore.app first.
20.4. US arbitration: Not applicable unless separately published for US users after legal review.
21. Export and sanctions
You may not use the Services if you are barred under applicable export control or sanctions laws. You represent you are not on restricted party lists.
22. Miscellaneous
22.1. Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services.
22.2. Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains effective.
22.3. No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
22.4. Assignment: We may assign these Terms; you may not assign without consent.
22.5. Force majeure: We are not liable for delays due to events beyond reasonable control.
22.6. Language: If translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted.
23. Apple and Google additional terms
23.1. Apple: You acknowledge Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation regarding the App. Apple may enforce these Terms as a third-party beneficiary. You must comply with App Store terms.
23.2. Google: You must comply with Google Play terms and policies.
23.3. Stores are responsible for Store billing, refunds per Store rules, and device compatibility.
